DeepSeek releases new AI model V4, claims world-class performance

Chinese technology company DeepSeek has released its new and long-awaited AI model, DeepSeek V4. The company claims that the model delivers world-class performance and is specifically optimized for chips manufactured in China.
The model is available in two versions, DeepSeek V4-Pro and DeepSeek V4-Flash. The Flash version is a cheaper and more efficient option, while the Pro version is more powerful. The model has a very long context of up to a million words and is the leader among open-source models in agent capabilities, global knowledge, and reasoning performance.
In the World Knowledge Benchmarks, DeepSeek V4-Pro is clearly ahead of all other open-source models and only slightly behind Google’s top closed-source model, Gemini Pro 3.1. Its preview version is currently available for use and is being seen as a major breakthrough in the technology world.
