Instant messaging application WhatsApp has announced the introduction of four new features for its users, the most notable of which is for iPad users.
Under the new update, users will now be able to create a WhatsApp account directly on the iPad and it will not be necessary to link it to a mobile phone first.
Users will be able to use WhatsApp immediately by completing the registration on the iPad itself, which will make using the app even easier.
WhatsApp has also added new features for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Now users will be able to listen to and reply to messages hands-free while driving, make calls, view call history and easily access favorite contacts from the car screen.
In addition, the use of PDF files has also been improved. Now users will be able to open PDF files in WhatsApp without downloading them, while basic editing facilities such as highlighting them and adding notes will also be available.
Another new feature will allow users of Apple Music and Spotify to share the song they are listening to directly on WhatsApp status.
According to WhatsApp, all these new features are being rolled out to users around the world in phases.
