Royal Challengers Bangalore win IPL title for second consecutive time

Royal Challengers Bangalore have won the IPL 2026 title thanks to Virat Kohli's brilliant batting. RCB defeated Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets in the final played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to lift the trophy.
Batting first, Gujarat Titans scored 155 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Washington Sundar scored a half-century while RCB's Rassikh Dar Salam took 3 wickets.
Chasing a target of 156 runs, RCB achieved the target in 18 overs. Virat Kohli played a brilliant innings of 75 not out. Venkatesh Iyer and Tim David also scored important runs.
Virat Kohli was awarded the Player of the Match award for his excellent performance in the final.
With this victory, RCB became the third team in history to win two consecutive IPL titles. Only Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians have achieved this feat before. Last year, RCB won their first title by defeating Punjab Kings and now they have successfully defended it.
