Petrol and diesel become more expensive by Rs 26.77 per liter, new prices effective from today

The government has once again increased the prices of petroleum products. According to a notification from the Petroleum Division, both petrol and high-speed diesel have been increased by Rs 26.77 per liter. After the increase, the new price of petrol has become Rs 393.33 per liter and diesel Rs 380.19 per liter. These new prices are effective for one week from April 25.

Explaining the reason for this increase, the Federal Minister for Petroleum said that due to regional tensions, oil prices are once again increasing in the global market and due to agreements with global partners, the government is having to pass this burden on to the people. He said that the government has borne the burden of the global price increase as much as possible and has also provided a historic relief package to the people in collaboration with all provincial governments. The Minister for Petroleum expressed hope that the regional peace situation will improve soon, after which relief in the prices of petroleum products can be provided.
