The State Bank of Pakistan has confirmed that Pakistan has fully repaid all financial deposits provided by the United Arab Emirates. The latest payment was $1 billion yesterday, after which all outstanding amounts were reduced to zero. A week ago, Pakistan had repaid $2.45 billion to the UAE, bringing the total repayments to $3.45 billion as per the due date.
On the other hand, Saudi Arabia has provided $3 billion in financial assistance to Pakistan, which is being described as a significant and positive development for the country’s financial stability. The full return of UAE deposits and Saudi Arabia’s new financial assistance both reflect the improvement in Pakistan’s economic situation.
