Former Miss Pune's mysterious death, CBI arrests mother-in-law and former judge

The death of 33-year-old Twisha Sharma in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh has shaken the entire country. The CBI has arrested the victim’s mother-in-law and former judge Gurbela Singh in this case, which was already a hot topic on social media.

Initially, Twisha’s death was declared a suicide, but as the investigation progressed, the picture changed. Evidence of taunts for not bringing dowry, domestic violence and constant mental torture came to light. The investigation also revealed that the victim was also pressured to abort the pregnancy. The family says that the injury marks on the body were caused by violence before death.

The CBI interrogated Gurbela Singh for hours in detail before the arrest, in which WhatsApp messages, digital evidence and forensic analysis were reviewed. The Madhya Pradesh High Court cancelled her anti-arrest bail, after which the arrest was possible. Twisha’s husband Samarth Singh is already in judicial custody.

The most heartbreaking aspect is that a few days before her death, Twisha had sent several messages to her mother, describing her post-marital life as hell and pleading to be taken back home. Twisha was an MBA graduate, a former Miss Pune and was associated with the field of Marketing.
