Big change in WhatsApp status, updates will soon appear in the chat list

Instant messaging app WhatsApp is set to introduce a major change to its Status feature, moving status updates to a new location.

According to reports, the company is working on bringing Status to the main chat list view to make the feature more prominent, so that users can quickly access updates.

Although WhatsApp Status is not currently as important as Stories on other platforms, this new change suggests that the company intends to make it a more central part of the app.

According to tech reports, signs of this change have already appeared in the beta version of Android, while the feature has also been referenced in the test flight version of iOS.

This feature is currently not available to general users, but it is expected to be officially introduced in upcoming updates.
