Pakistan cricket team has suffered a major setback ahead of the first Test match against Bangladesh. The PCB has confirmed that Babar Azam will not be able to play the first Test starting tomorrow in Mirpur Dhaka due to a left knee injury. His injury is being continuously assessed by the team’s medical panel and further updates on his fitness will be released in due course.
Babar Azam’s absence is also a big loss for the Pakistan team because he is not only the most important batsman of the team but also in the recent PSL 11 he had scored 588 runs including two centuries and was in excellent form. The early exclusion of such a key player could weaken Pakistan’s batting line-up. The first Test will start tomorrow at 9 am in Mirpur Dhaka.
