 Reaction from ICC Officials

ICC Chief Executive Sanjog Gupta stated that receiving one million applications within just over 48 hours of the ticket ballot opening is a clear indication of the World Cup's global popularity.

According to him, major ICC tournaments are no longer merely sporting competitions; they have evolved into global events that bring together people from diverse regions and cultures.

Organizing Committee Chief Executive Condesa Ngoni also expressed delight at the extraordinary demand for tickets, noting that the more than one million applications reflect the desire of fans worldwide to attend the World Cup. She added that South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia are ready to host fans from across the globe.

Ticket Ballot Registration Process

Registration for the ticket ballot will remain open until 11:59 PM Central African Time on November 21. Registration is entirely free, and no payment is required at this stage.

Individuals can submit an application for a single match or apply for multiple matches. The ticket ballot will not operate on a first-come, first-served basis; therefore, the timing of registration—whether early or late—will not affect the chances of success.

If the number of applications exceeds the available tickets for a match, successful applicants will be selected via a lottery. Both successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified of the outcome via the email address provided during registration.
