The new installment of the Benazir Kafalat program will be released soon

Senator Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), has informed eligible women that the next quarterly installment of the Benazir Kafaalat Programme will be released soon. An interoperability system is being introduced for this disbursement, meaning beneficiaries will no longer be restricted to a specific bank or payment center to collect their funds.

Funds can be collected from authorized pay points of six banks

During an 'e-Kutchery' (online public hearing), Senator Rubina Khalid explained that under the new system, eligible women can collect their funds from any authorized pay point belonging to six partner institutions. These institutions include Habib Bank, Habib Microfinance Bank, Bank Alfalah, JazzCash, EasyPaisa, and the Bank of Punjab.

According to her, as soon as the funds are transferred to a beneficiary's account, an SMS will be sent to her registered mobile number. Upon receiving this message, the woman can withdraw the funds from a nearby authorized pay point at any time and on any day that is convenient for her.

A confirmation message will also be received after collecting the funds

The BISP Chairperson advised women to retain the second confirmation SMS—sent by the bank—after collecting their funds. This message will contain details regarding the amount withdrawn.

She specifically warned beneficiaries not to hand over their mobile phones to any retailer, agent, or other individual during the payment process.

24 complaints were addressed during the e-Kutchery

During the e-Kutchery, Senator Rubina Khalid interacted directly with the beneficiaries and listened to their concerns. On this occasion, he attended a total of 24 phone calls and directed the relevant officers and staff to ensure the immediate redressal of the complaints received and to resolve issues on a priority basis.

He stated that the interoperability system would facilitate beneficiaries in accessing various payment services, providing them with more convenient and efficient facilities. He described this initiative as a measure provided for the public by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
