The ICC has announced the schedule for the 2027 World Cup, according to which the teams from Pakistan and India will face each other in Johannesburg on October 10 during the group stage.
Pakistan and India have been placed in Group A of the event. In addition to these two arch-rivals, the group will also include Australia, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, and a qualifier team.
Pakistan and India could face each other again
According to the schedule released by the ICC, the crucial group-stage match between the two teams will be played on Sunday, October 10. Following the group stage, if both teams qualify for the Super 7 stage, another encounter between them is also possible.
The 2027 World Cup will be jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia, where various matches of the tournament will be played.
