The deadline for obtaining Benazir SIM is approaching, important instructions for women

The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has directed beneficiary women who have not yet obtained the free Benazir SIM to do so. According to a program spokesperson, women can collect the SIM from a nearby BISP office by presenting their original identity card and mobile phone before September 30, 2026.

According to BISP, the Benazir SIM is part of the digital system that will be used to disburse stipend payments to beneficiaries in the future. Consequently, women who have not yet obtained the SIM have been asked to complete this process before the deadline.

BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid has also urged women not to delay obtaining the free Benazir SIM any further and to visit their nearest office before September 30.

How will the Benazir SIM be activated?

Beneficiaries do not need to follow a separate procedure themselves to activate the Benazir SIM; a representative from the relevant mobile company present at the BISP office will activate it.

Senator Rubina Khalid has advised women to ask BISP staff to insert the SIM into their mobile phones at the time of collection. This ensures that the entire process—from obtaining to activating the SIM—is completed right there at the office.

BISP has urged women who have not yet obtained the Benazir SIM not to wait until the last minute, but rather to visit their nearest BISP office and complete the necessary formalities before the deadline.
