New features introduced in YouTube Shorts, several updates including clear screen mode

Video streaming platform YouTube has announced the introduction of several new features for its short video format YouTube Shorts. These will be released to users in phases over the next few days and weeks.
The main feature is the ‘clear screen’ mode, through which the video will be visible on the full screen while all buttons, text and other user interface elements will temporarily disappear so that the user can watch the video without any interruption.
In addition, a 2X playback option is being added to YouTube Shorts, with the help of which users will be able to watch videos at double speed.
To make the user experience more personal, YouTube has also decided to introduce a heart icon instead of the thumbs up icon.
Furthermore, muting the video has also been made easier. Now users will be able to stop the video by tapping on the screen and then turn off the sound by tapping on the new mute button.
According to YouTube, all these new features will be rolled out to users around the world in phases.
