ICC announces 12 venues for World Cup 2027

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially announced 12 venues for the 2027 World Cup.

The mega event will be played in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia, with 8 stadiums in South Africa, 3 in Zimbabwe and one in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, selected for the tournament.

The 50-over World Cup will be held on African soil again after 24 years. Earlier, the 2003 World Cup was jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya.

14 teams will participate in the 2027 World Cup, and the ICC also introduced a new three-phase format for this event.

• Kingsmead Cricket Ground, Durban
• St George's Park, Gekibera

Mangaung Oval, Bloemfontein

• Boland Park, Paarl
• Buffalo Park, Kogomo City

Zimbabwe:

• Harare Sports Club, Harare
• Queen's Sports Club, Bulawayo
• Fele Musa Oa Tunia International Cricket Stadium, Victoria Falls

Namibia:

• Namibia Cricket Ground, Windhoek
