Major changes likely in Pakistan team ahead of second Test against West Indies

There are chances of significant changes in the Pakistani team before the second match of the ongoing Test series against the West Indies.

According to the details, Shan Masood has been ruled out of the series and the England tour due to a serious back injury, after which Abdullah Shafiq and Saud Shakeel have been included in the squad.

Both players also participated in the team's training session, while Owais Zafar is also part of the squad, however, it is more likely that experienced batsmen will be preferred in the important match.

The team management is also considering changes in the batting line-up.

One possibility is that Abdullah Shafiq plays at number three while Babar Azam retains his preferred fourth position.

In addition, the option of taking the field with seven expert batsmen is also being considered, which may make it possible for Saud Shakeel to return to the playing eleven.

A change in bowling is also expected. In the first Test, the speed of Pakistani fast bowlers was slower than that of the West Indies, which may give a chance to fast young pacer Obaid Shah.

If the pitch once again remains favorable to fast bowlers, Pakistan could also consider dropping a spinner and adding an extra batter or another fast bowler.
