Samsung is considering discontinuing the Galaxy Z Flip series

Ice Universe, a well-known tipster who provides accurate information about Samsung, has claimed that the company is considering discontinuing its Galaxy Z Flip foldable smartphone series and that the Galaxy Z Flip 8 will likely be the last model in the series.

Although such rumors have surfaced in the past as well. However, this time this claim is gaining attention as it comes from a relatively reliable source.

According to the report, a major reason for this possible decision is the rising prices of RAM and other components, due to which the cost of foldable phones is increasing significantly.

Recently, the company has also attributed the increase in the prices of Motorola Razr 70 and Razr 70 Ultra to expensive components.

On the other hand, the availability of clamshell (flip-style) foldable phones has also decreased in Western markets like Europe and the US. Oppo, Xiaomi, Vivo and Honor have either stopped selling such phones or have not introduced them outside China, after which only Samsung and Motorola are currently selling foldable phones of this type.

However, all these reports are currently based on unconfirmed rumors, and it is being shown that Samsung may temporarily stop offering it after the Galaxy Z Flip 8, rather than completely discontinuing the series.
