PCB likely to take tough decisions against senior players

After Pakistan's defeat in the Lord's Test, further changes have been considered in the Pakistan Cricket Board. Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi is holding consultations for important decisions in the next few days.

According to sources, Mohsin Naqvi is very disappointed with the recent performance of the senior and experienced players of the national team. He is of the opinion that instead of giving repeated opportunities to failed experienced players, new players should now be brought forward.

The Chairman PCB has directed the selection committee to give more opportunities and full confidence to young and junior cricketers to prepare the team of the future. Under this policy, under-19 and other junior level players are likely to get a chance to come forward in the national team.

After Pakistan lost two consecutive Test matches in the England tour, large-scale changes have already started in the team and management, due to which there is also unease among the players.

The PCB released 7 players from the team during the tour, including Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, Salman Ali Agha, Aamir Jamal, Ali Usman, Owais Zafar and Khurram Shahzad.

In addition, the board has also removed head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and bowling coach Umar Gul from their positions.
