PCB decides to investigate Imam-ul-Haq's injury

After the heavy defeat in the Lord's Test by England, the Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to conduct a high-level investigation into Imam-ul-Haq's alleged injury.

According to sources, after the 194-run defeat at Lord's and a 0-2 defeat in the three-match series, the Pakistan team management held an emergency meeting in London, in which the team's performance and future course of action were discussed.

The meeting also decided to immediately send wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan and opener Imam-ul-Haq back to Pakistan. Particular concern was expressed over the recent performance of Mohammad Rizwan, who lost his wicket in an irresponsible manner in both Test matches.

Imam-ul-Haq's calf problem has also now become the focus of the board's attention. The opener had complained of pain on the first day of the Lord's Test and did not come out to bat in the second innings after the first innings was completed.

According to sources, the PCB has decided to conduct a full investigation into the matter after media reports and former cricketers raised questions about the injury. The investigation will also examine the role of the team management along with Imam-ul-Haq's medical reports.

Imam-ul-Haq's fitness has been under question before, which is why the current matter is being viewed seriously by the board.

On the other hand, there is a possibility of changes in the national team for the third Test starting in Birmingham from September 9. According to sources, there is also a possibility of Saim Ayub and Arafat Minhas being included in the squad.

The defeat at Lord's was Pakistan's first defeat at the hands of England on this ground after 16 years. After this result, the host team has taken a decisive 0.2 lead in the three-match series.
