Pakistan's Test record becomes negative in terms of victories after 39 years

The defeat in the Lord's Test against England also changed a historical record for the Pakistan cricket team. The number of defeats compared to the national team's Test victories has again exceeded that of Test victories after 39 years.

The match played at Lord's was Pakistan's 473rd Test. Since the defeat, Pakistan has won 153 Test matches so far, while it has faced defeat in 154 matches.

Before this, Pakistan's Test record was last negative in 1987. After the Test draw against England at The Oval in August 1987, Pakistan had 39 wins and 40 losses in 170 Tests.

After this, the national team restored its Test record to a positive level, however, due to continuous poor results in the last few years, the gap between victories and defeats has once again disappeared.

The result of the Lord's Test not only caused Pakistan's failure in the series but also became another major symbol of the national team's current difficulties in Test cricket.
