Nana Patekar's last rites performed with state honours

Veteran Bollywood actor Nana Patekar was cremated with state honors in the city of Pune, Maharashtra. According to Indian media reports, the 75-year-old actor's mortal remains were brought from Goa to Pune, where his last rites were performed at his farmhouse in Donje village, in accordance with his wishes.
During the ceremony, Nana Patekar's body was draped in the Indian flag, and he was accorded a state salute with a three-round volley. Subsequently, his son, Malhar Patekar, lit the funeral pyre, thereby concluding the final rites.
Personalities from the film industry, political leaders, family members, and thousands of fans attended the event to bid the actor a final farewell.
It is worth noting that, according to Indian media, Nana Patekar passed away at his residence in Goa on October 8. His last rites were performed at his farmhouse near Pune, as per his wishes.
