Gujarati actor Arvind Vekaria passes away at the age of 77

Senior Gujarati theatre, film and television actor and director Arvind Vekaria passed away at the age of 77.

According to Indian media reports, the death of Arvind Vekaria has sent shockwaves through the Indian showbiz industry, while his son and Tanmay Vekaria, known for his role as Bagha in “Taarak Mehta Ka Alta Chashma”, is going through another big shock.

This incident has come at a time when Tanmay Vekaria had also lost his mother just eight months ago.

The creator and producer of “Taarak Mehta Ka Alta Chashma”, Asit Kumar Modi, expressed deep grief over the death of Arvind Vekaria and said that this loss is a big shock not only for Tanmay Vekaria and his family but also for the entire entertainment industry.

He described Arvind Vekaria as a highly respected artist of Gujarati theatre and cinema and said that his artistic services will always be remembered.

Arvind Vekaria, in a brilliant career spanning decades, has worked in renowned Gujarati productions like “Yashoda”, “Chhanu Chamkalu” and “Rupio Nach Nachaway”. He also appeared in the popular superhero series “Shaktiman” and played a memorable cameo role in “Taarak Mehta Ka Alta Chashma”.
