Alka Yagnik reveals her health while receiving Padma Bhushan

India's famous singer Alka Yagnik attended a public event for the first time after being away from fans due to illness for a long time and received India's highest civilian award, the Padma Bhushan.

In a message on Instagram, Alka Yagnik wrote that for the last two years she has been away from the public eye, participating in public events and informing about her journey.

She said that many of you know that I am facing health problems, but your love, prayers, messages and unwavering support have been with me every moment.

Alka Yagnik said that today I came out to receive the country's highest civilian award, the Padma Bhushan, and my heart was filled with feelings of joy. This honor is truly a source of great humility for me. Although my name is on it, it belongs to every listener who has included my voice in their lives.

She said that this moment feels especially meaningful to me because it is not only a recognition of my work but also a reminder of my strength that comes from love, hope and perseverance.

Without giving details about her illness, she said that I am slowly recovering and I wanted to be here today not just for myself but for everyone who has been with me on this journey.

Thanking the President of India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other officials for receiving the country's highest honor, she said that I accept this honor with utmost humility and respect.

The famous singer said that I have not only received an honor today but also felt the love of millions of people who have been a part of my journey.

It may be recalled that two years ago, Alka Yagnik had informed her fans on social media that she was getting off the flight when she felt that she could not hear anything. She had said that she had developed hearing problems due to a viral infection.
