Asian Games: Pakistan defeats Bangladesh to secure a spot in the final

Pakistan advanced to the final of the Asian Games men's cricket event by defeating Bangladesh by six wickets. Due to rain, the semi-final match was reduced to 13 overs per innings.
In the match, Pakistan won the toss and invited Bangladesh to bat first. The Bangladeshi team scored 111 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 13 overs, with Towhid Hridoy emerging as the top scorer with 42 runs.
For Pakistan, Sufiyan Muqeem bowled impressively to claim three wickets, while Arafat Minhas took two and Saim Ayub claimed one.
Pakistan recovers after early batting struggles
Chasing a target of 112 runs, Pakistan lost their first four wickets for just 53 runs. Saim Ayub scored 21, Maaz Sadaqat 15, Usman Khan 14, and captain Sahibzada Farhan scored one run.
At this critical juncture, Abdul Samad and Hasan Nawaz played responsibly to steer the team out of a difficult situation. The duo built an unbroken 59-run partnership for the fifth wicket.
Abdul Samad (30) and Hasan Nawaz (27) remained unbeaten, guiding Pakistan to the target.
Pakistan achieved the 112-run target in 11.3 overs for the loss of four wickets, securing a six-wicket victory and a spot in the Asian Games final.
