What to Do as Your Team Grows?

As your business starts to take on new customers and challenges, it is likely that the number of people attached to your business will grow and that you will have to manage larger and larger numbers of employees. You might believe that you can deal with your HR all by yourself. However, you need to take into consideration the great number of other tasks and departments that you are overseeing. Although you might want to control every aspect of your business, at some point, you need to realize that this is not always possible and that your business could even benefit from other influences. If this is the case, you should consider outsourcing your HR to another company that will be able to ensure that your team stays motivated, informed, and trained up. 3.Find a Great Manager

You might want to be in direct charge of your staff at all times and get to know them. However, by employing a manager, you will be creating a middleman who will be able to deal with issues and requests and who your team will be able to have constant contact with. 4.Treat Your Team as Individuals

Just because your company is getting larger, this does not mean that your team will become automatons, and you should not treat them as such. Rather than seeing them as cogs that make up a whole, you should respect and see them as individuals who work for you and have their own lives. You can do this by making an effort to greet and onboard new staff, as well as check in with them, and host parties and celebrations that every team member attends. You should also try to be patient and kind if an employee is going through a hard time in their personal life and if this affects their work with you. This will create a loyal team who believe that they are irreplaceable and that they and their ideas are listened to.

You might be excited about the growth of your business. However, you may be less excited about the growth of your team. This can be particularly daunting if the growth was sudden and unexpected or if you are struggling to scale up your HR and other employee-related systems. Rather than remaining complacent, the more action you take, the faster you and your team will be able to adjust to the changes within your company and look toward a bright future- and potentially even more growth.
