WhatsApp's new guest calling feature makes it possible to join calls even without an account

WhatsApp has announced the introduction of a "guest calling" feature, which will allow users to include individuals who do not have a WhatsApp account in their calls. To use this feature, one simply needs to generate a call invitation link and share it with the intended person.
According to the company, there will be no time limit on calls made using this feature, and all conversations will remain protected by end-to-end encryption.
Entry into the call requires the host's permission
Individuals joining as guests will first be placed in a "waiting room." They will only be able to join the ongoing call once the host grants approval. Furthermore, the host retains the authority to remove any guest from the call at any time.
Certain restrictions are also in place to protect the privacy of guest users. They will not be able to view the phone numbers of other participants, nor will they be able to send WhatsApp messages or initiate direct calls to them.
However, guests will have access to various features to participate in the conversation; they can share their screens, react to the discussion, and use the "raise hand" option to signal their turn to speak.
Where can the call link be generated?
This feature will be available within the "Calls" section of WhatsApp, where users can generate a call link to share with others. This makes it possible to include individuals in a conversation even if they do not use the messaging app.
WhatsApp plans to integrate this feature with Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar by the end of this year. Once integrated, users will be able to generate WhatsApp call invitation links directly from their calendars.
