The Metro Bus service in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad has been temporarily restricted on the instructions of the district administration. According to officials, the service has been suspended in certain sections due to administrative or security reasons, while buses continue to operate as usual on specific routes.
Metro Bus authorities state that the service from IJP Road to the Pak Secretariat has been completely suspended. Consequently, passengers who typically travel along this route will need to make alternative travel arrangements.
Service remains operational from Saddar to Faizabad
To facilitate passengers, the administration has kept the service operational in one section rather than shutting it down entirely. Buses are running between the Saddar station and Faizabad, and passengers can travel along this route.
According to officials, the full restoration of the service will depend on an improvement in the situation. Further instructions from the administration regarding this matter are expected.
