Rajesh Sharma's health is critical, severe infection due to poisonous insect bite

Senior Bollywood actor Rajesh Sharma's health became critical when he was allegedly bitten by a venomous insect while shooting for South Indian superstar Prabhas' new film. After his condition deteriorated, he was admitted to Dhakuria Manipal Hospital in Kolkata, where he is undergoing treatment.

According to Indian media reports, actress Sudeepa Chatterjee shared a press note issued by Rajesh Sharma's family on social media, giving details about his health. The statement said that the incident took place in Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City, where Prabhas' new film was being shot.

According to the family, after the shooting was completed, Rajesh Sharma was near dense bushes with the film's technical crew, when he was bitten by a venomous insect. Initially, they considered it a minor incident and did not seek medical attention.

The statement further said that after about six hours, he started experiencing severe pain in his right leg, but despite this, he boarded the flight to Kolkata. During the journey, he developed a high fever and his condition continued to deteriorate, after which he was immediately shifted to the hospital.

According to Dr. Aveni Bhattacharya, who treated Rajesh Sharma, the toxic infection has affected everything from his toes to his knee, while large blisters have also formed on the affected leg. Doctors say that the actor is also facing difficulty in breathing.

Medical experts have expressed concern that if the infection causes a blood clot in the leg and it reaches the lungs, the situation could prove fatal. According to doctors, Rajesh Sharma's condition is being monitored continuously and he is not completely out of danger yet.
