Pakistan Salt Corporation and China sign major agreement in Rock Salt sector

With the facilitation of SIFC, Pakistan Salt Corporation and China National Salt Industry Group have signed a long-term cooperation agreement in the rock salt sector. The Petroleum Division of the Ministry of Energy also played a key role in the completion of this agreement.

The agreement will promote cooperation in mining, processing, value addition and access to global markets for finished products. The main goal is to make Pakistan’s vast rock salt reserves part of a well-organized global supply chain and increase the global reach of Pakistani salt.

Chairman of China National Salt Industry Group Shen Xiaojun said that there is a vast potential for cooperation between the two countries in the salt sector. Chairman of Pakistan Salt Company Ahmad Nadeem Khan said that this is a great opportunity to develop Pakistan’s unique salt resources on a global scale with the help of Chinese modern technology.

CEO of Miracle Salt Development Corporation Muhammad Mubarak Khan said that Pakistan Salt Corporation has achieved a historic milestone by bringing North American and Chinese companies on one platform and this would not have been possible without the strategic support of SIFC.
