Lawrence Bishnoi gang demands Rs 20 crore extortion from Rohit Shetty

After the shooting of Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has now allegedly threatened to pay Rs 20 crore, which is already facing security concerns.

According to Indian media reports, an audio clip allegedly sent to filmmaker Rohit Shetty by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has surfaced, in which he has been demanded for Rs 20 crore and threatened with dire consequences if he does not pay.

The alleged threat received by Rohit Shetty has raised serious concerns about the security of celebrities in the Indian film industry as it has led to threats against Salman Khan and several other famous actors.

The 90-second audio clip received by Rohit Shetty from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang demands Rs 20 crore and threatens that the shooting outside his house earlier this year was just a trailer and if the demand is not met, the consequences could be more serious.

The report said that a threat of Rs 20 crore has been given to Rohit Shetty's team by Shubham Lonkar, stating that the shooting at the Juhu residence months ago was just a trailer and if the demand is ignored, the bullets will not hit their target this time.

Rohit Shetty's team received this audio clip on Saturday morning, which immediately informed the police after hearing the message and the Mumbai Police has also immediately turned its attention to it because a shooting incident had taken place outside Rohit Shetty's residence a few months ago.

Mumbai Police has termed this audio clip as an act of close associates associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Investigators said that the alleged audio message directly threatens the filmmaker and demands an extortion, a Mumbai Police Crime Branch officer said that Rohit Shetty's staff informed us about the threatening audio clip.

Mumbai Police has confirmed that it has started an investigation into the matter and the audio clip has been sent for forensics, while Juhu Police is also registering a case in this regard.

Police said that initial investigation shows that the voice in the audio belongs to Shubham Lonkar, who is allegedly a close associate of Lawrence Bishnoi, but this has not been formally confirmed by forensics.

On the other hand, Rohit Shetty's security has also been tightened and he has not issued any statement regarding the latest threat.
