Decision to further expand the scope of advertisements in ChatGPT

ChatGPT users may see more advertisements across various parts of the platform in the future. OpenAI has decided to expand the use of ads within the chatbot to help cover the costs of providing the free service.
The company began testing ads on ChatGPT earlier this year, initially limiting them to a select group of users and specific regions. According to OpenAI, advertising can serve as a revenue stream to offset the costs of providing the free service and investing in infrastructure and artificial intelligence technology.
Ads During Image Generation
Currently, ads in ChatGPT appear in a separate section below the response; however, the company is preparing to test a new advertising format.
In this new format, an advertisement will be displayed while ChatGPT is generating an image. Initial testing of this format will be conducted in the United States with a limited number of advertisers.
According to the company, following a successful trial, these ads could be rolled out to more countries and a wider range of advertisers.
OpenAI states that in the future, advertisements will not be limited to the image generation phase but are likely to appear in other sections of ChatGPT as well.
